Greater Cincinnati Chapter
of the Embroiderers' Guild of America (EGA)

Greater Cincinnati Chapter EGA welcomes
you to the wonderful world of embroidery!

We invite stitchers of ALL levels
-- beginner to professional -- to join us
in learning, sharing, and

enjoying stitching of all kinds.

We have regular meetings most months, September through December and February through May, plus special events in, Jaunary (4rd Saturday workshop and luncheon), and July (day-long Saturday class).  Guests are always welcome.

Beginning in April 2018, our meeting time will CHANGE to 1:00 pm the SECOND MONDAY of the Month.

The meeting location remains the Madeira Municipal Building, 7141 Miami Avenue (community room on lower level).

Meeting Format

Most meetings consist of a (short) business meeting followed by a program.   A listing of upcoming programs can be found below, and a sampling of past projects can be found in a photo album.

In a typical year, programs might include hands-on stitching projects, lectures, sharing programs where members exchange hints, suggestions, and experiences on a particular topic, and stitch-ins where we all bring a current project and enjoy the fellowship of stitching together and sharing our current work.

In addition, here are some guidelines to prepare for  coming to a meeting:

  • Always bring  a project to stitch on (your own project if you are not doing the meeting project)
  • Always bring something for Show and Tell - current, recent, and/or completed projects to share
  • Always bring any no-longer-wanted stitching patterns and or supplies for our Free to a Good Home or
Your for a Donation to the Chapter tables.
